you know, you can enter 3 images per competition section,
both of your images are reasonably artistic, the second is a little more "art" than the first one, which is a nice rendering, but for true "art" i would take the second one, because it has a clean coloring, and shape set up, the first one is more colorful, but very nice as well, just my opinions regards ck

Hard to choose between those two. Both are good. Maybe the second one (Mother Julia), is a bit more surprising.

This is for a different competition. It is for the art league I attend. They are going to be judged by the public. I just wanted to see what others thought of them.

Mother Julia is definitely my favourite. It's a clean, balanced and highly perspective render with soft tones and a smooth palette. The whole perspective and concept both look deeper in it, than the other one - which is good and quite unconventional, but a little too "rough".

Thanks for your opinions, they have been very helpful. I think I'm going to go with the Mother Julia since everyone has liked it more. Maybe I'll win

Well, be sure to let us know what they say about it. So we test our judging abilities Good luck!

I didn't win because apparently it was a contest for drawn/painted art. I am happy though, because a woman saw my stuff and wants to buy a print. Do you know what that means? That means that I finally get money (which means I can afford food)!

Love the polka dots of Prenatal Julia. Mother Julia in my humble opinion is slightly boring. Alsou vertical standing tought structures don't associates with mother. And why do you think goverments compete, who have the longest skyscraper? It's freudic.
EDITED. Wow, this thread is an old one.
