| Description: A fairly standard Elephant from Elephant Valley in the Mandelbrot set. Maximum iterations: 10000 Center Point (real, imaginary): -1.7494806173693, -0.00014613381773813 i Plot Width (real): 9.73E-13 Plotted using distance estimates to give the elephant crisp outlines. The colors were generated using a histogram based color scheme. They were then smoothed using fractional iteration values, but with a twist. I applied a sinusoidal change in brightness based on the fractional part of the iteration value, to give the wavy pattern you see. I rather like the effect. | Pauldelbrot | April 20, 2010, 05:26:14 AM This is a similar coloring to a system I've been using recently. Interesting that you seem to have come up with it independently. |
