Coming in 12th place in the Still Frame section has been the happiest moment of my life. I can't even imagine how Arias feels right now after winning both first and third place, hopefully he's able to survive the sudden rush of joy.

congrats from me again, but as well to the huge amount of votes, it was a nearly doubled amount of interaction, which makes me very happy! so, thank you ALL for participating, without you it would not have been such fun again!
and no need to point out the huge diversity and the very relaxing releases, due to the huge amount of entries it is a whole day you can spend just with reviewing the stuff!

I win!!!! Many many thanks to the voters, and special thanks to Chris, the one who makes this contest possible every year Btw, I must say sorry to Chris for complaining at first about the lack of short animation section this year, because the axolotl turned to be a great and fun idea! (I know what are you all maybe thinking... "Yeah, now you say it because you won"... hehe ) But the truth is that I really changed my opinion when the submission period started, and as I didn't have too much free time at the moment to make many entries (not to mention a movie), I decided to focus only in this category. Well, congrats to all the winners and all the participants for their great entries, it was a really nice competition with lots of amazing works. And special congrats to arias for the superb winner still image, eiffie for that awesome movie (are you all aware that it was totally procedurally generated?) and to Johan for the 3rd place with his lovely axolotl Now, while I really appreciate the recognition of being placed 1st and 2nd, one mug is enough for me... I'll only accept the one for the first place, and if the admin agrees, I want to give my second to the 4th place in the axolotl section, lambarie's entry. I think his 2D composition is very creative and deserves it. Congrats lambarie!!
(I don't know why I thought of prizes for 2nd and 3rd places, as it was always only the 1st, sorry!!) Thanks again, I'm very very happy!! P.S.: @taurus, I'm only Kali! - but the forum's software seems to like the nick I used to register to the forum... "kaliyuga" (I was reading about Hinduism in that moment )

@kali i am afraid there is no second place mug or something, the whole budget of the contest prizes is just for the first place, even though we have a sponsor this year ( i might ask him for an extension ) if there is no one else interested in perhaps buying a mug, there will be - as every last 4 years - just 3 mugs for the winners, and 3 for me .... *lol* my whole kitchen cupboard is full of memorizable coffee cups from the contest, 18 cups i have now documenting nicely the contest developments, some are broken, but a nice collection anyways!

regarding the competition in general, there will be always still frame and movies, and i really beliefe i am going to stick with the long duration for the entries, because i just love those long videos hehe, the third section is always open for something else, i am thinking about doing some kind of real-3d next year in that section, but i am unsure and have the whole year to think about it now, great pleasure!

Yeah, I don't know why I thought there were prizes for 2nd and 3rd... sorry - anyway, I think the 4th place should be taken as 3rd, and Johan's as 2nd, having only my most voted entry qualified to the contest in 1st place, as both of my images shares the same technical and artistic concept.
